I met Ardalan last month when I had the chance to audition for him, and have had the privilege of working with him since that time. He is an incredibly encouraging mentor of young singers like myself, and I have found his approach to vocal technique to be very much based on the philosophy of old world singing and bel canto style. I felt immediately that he understood my voice and was able to encourage me in a direction that aligns with my artistic vision. He encouraged me to hone in on details and vocal refinement in an exciting way and was so positive and nurturing consistently. I am excited to keep working together and encourage other young singers to seek his guidance, as in a few sessions he has already helped me immensely!

I had the opportunity to work with Ardalan Jabbari during the masterclass held at Marmara University on October 25, 2025. His extensive repertoire knowledge, approach to the voice, pedagogical delivery, and artistic experience broadened my perspective. He offered a fresh update on how I can nurture and enrich my singing with technical suggestions. I met Ardalan at the Voiceistanbul conference last year. I also had the opportunity to attend his masterclass last month. In just 30 minutes of work, I had the chance to hear tones in my voice that I had never discovered before. He is truly a very patient and kind person, a competent and musical voice pedagogue, and a very good singer. His guidance on repertoire has excited me. I will eagerly prepare for our next meeting. The masterclass I held in Istanbul with my dear Ardalan Jabbari taught me many valuable lessons, including vocal training. While I enjoyed it immensely at the beginning of my music teaching journey, I also believed that the profession's student-focused nature could overshadow and dull my performance. In our work with him, we learned how using our voices also meant using our entire bodies, and some of the mistakes I'd made. I also realized that, in addition to teaching, I wanted to strengthen my own performances and continue learning along my vocal journey.

I first met the esteemed opera singer and academic Prof. Ardalan Jabbari at a masterclass he held at the VoiceIstanbul congress in May 2025. His technical, artistic, and educational approach deeply impressed me. Rather than using a harsh tone, he treated participants like a highly professional educator, gently explaining their mistakes and shortcomings and how they could be corrected. On October 25, 2025, I had the opportunity to work with him again in Istanbul. We worked together on the aria “Questo amor, vergogna mia” (Frank) from Giacomo Puccini’s opera Edgar. He explained my mistakes and shortcomings so clearly that upon my second performance, both I and the other participants were deeply impressed and could perceive the difference in interpretation. One of the things that impressed me most about Prof. Jabbari is his ability to quickly enter the spirit of a piece. As he explains, you begin to experience the character. It was a great pleasure to work with you, Professor.
